Wool carpets have an historic reputation for quality due to it’s ability to withstand pressure, and have excellent appearance retention properties. Wool offers luxurious underfoot comfort and warmth to the home and acts as an insulator improving heat retention and energy efficiency. Wool has a natural crimp so this offers valuable ‘bounce back’ features, therefore reducing the effects of ‘tracking’ and shading.
As a natural fibre, wool has an inbuilt resistance to soiling due to its natural oils, and will initially repel spills allowing time to blot the spillage before staining. It is naturally fire retardant and meets many safety regulations without additional treatments. Plus, being a natural product, it’s better for the environment!
We offer wool carpets in a cut pile or twist, loop pile or berber.
Natural flooring brings organic textures to your home that add depth and richness, and something a bit different. Sisal, Coir, Seagrass, and Jute all come under the term ‘natural flooring’, and each has it’s own unique look and feel.
Sisal is extracted from the Agave Sisalana plant which grows in Mexico, Brazil and East Africa. It is very versatile and hardwearing. This product is tightly woven and has a subtle sheen.
Coir is made from the strong fibres of the coconut husks in Kerala India. Softened in sea water before they are woven into designs. Coir is very durable and good value for money.
Seagrass grows in the tropical climates of China and Vietnam by the coastal river banks. This natural product is dried, harvested and hand spun before woven into flooring. Jute comes from the stalk of the giant corchorus plants that grow in Southern India. As Jute fibres are fine this product is best used in light traffic areas.
Man Made Carpets
Carpets made from polypropylene, polyester, nylon and corn all come under this banner.
Polypropylene carpets tend to be less expensive than wool carpets and they do not wear as well as wool or nylon carpets. Smaller loop berber polypropylene carpets tend to be more resilient than the larger loop designs.
Polyester carpets are inherently stain resistant, but it has the disadvantage of that it tends to crush or mat down easily. These carpets are mid to low price points.
Nylon is the most common material for the construction of carpets. Nylon is hardwearing but can stain easily. Most carpets are a blend of 80% wool 20% nylon combining the luxury of wool with the hardiness of nylon.
Carpets made from corn are a fairly new product. Extremely hard wearing and durable and stains can be removed straight away. The colour range is fantastic and the carpets are very soft underfoot.
Wood Laminate Flooring
Laminate wood flooring is made from High Density Fibre (HDF) composite wood pressed together, with a photographic image of wood or stone added with a protective overlay to form the laminate. Laminate is a great value and hard wearing floor, and a perfect long lasting option.
Barretts of Woodbridge supplies laminate flooring from Balterio, who are renowned for producing true-to-nature woodgrain finishes with wood from sustainable forests, giving you the look of a solid wood floor. Other innovations include Chrome Zone® Technology which gives the wood grains a vivid and radiant luster on a matt surface. Balterio comes with a 25 year residential guarantee on most collections, 12 year for commercial applications.
So, if you need a versatile surface that is easy to clean, looks fantastic and won't break the bank, then laminate flooring is the option for you.

It is has five layers which are thermally pressed for ultimate performance, and has a ten year product guarantee against normal wear and tear. Camero is 100% recyclable, and has low VOC emissions (Indoor Air Comfort GOLD).

Wood & Engineered Wood Flooring
Solid wood flooring is made from, you guessed it, a plank of solid wood. It offers strength, durability and the unbeatable tactile sensation of its natural wood texture. Our range of solid wood flooring comes in a variety of different finishes, each of which bring out a different aspect of its character. Grain patterns, bleaching, mellow hues and more can provide both modern and traditional looks for every area of the home.
Engineered wood flooring has the natural beauty of solid wood flooring, only its boards are constructed in a way that makes them more versatile, practical and affordable for modern homes. Its compressed layers prevent it from being too susceptible to expansion and contraction. Simply adding a top layer of solid wood to engineered wood also allows the tree's materials to go much further.
Vinyl is a plastic material, which unlike other plastics, can easily be recycled. Because of the durability of vinyl, products made from this material have a long life span. Add to this the fact that the vinyl can then be recycled, translates into an even longer life of the vinyl plastic resin.
Vinyl is resistant to moisture and humidity. It is a very strong and durable plastic material and can be manufactured in a variety of colours, both transparent and solid. Vinyl comes in on a roll of 2m, 3m and 4m widths.
